Presidential Pardons by Obama

 America prison is five times that of china's being the second largest numbers serving sentence and most of them are blacks, mostly convicted due to drug crimes.

The president Obama's administration; even as it come to its close end is looking forward on adjusting the


laws of drug crimes in America which had sent many to jail even if it were a minor drug crime, they received long jail term. Most of them gets life sentences for non violent drug crime.

President Obama said it has been counter-productive, consigning generations of young people to jail. Under a new presidential clemency initiative thousands of drug offenders can apply for early release or commutation and they receives pardon if they got lucky.

A man from Dallas, Texas, Israel Abel Torres got his clemency granted among seven others Wednesday. He was sentenced in 1998 to life for crack cocaine and methamphetamine.
